3D Dental Imaging (CBCT)

The most advanced 3D CBCT diagnostics on the KAVO OP 3D PRO unit in downtown Belgrade. Field sizes: 5x5, 6x8, 8x8, and 8x15 cm.

3D Dental Imaging (CBCT – Cone Beam Computed Tomography) represents the gold standard of modern dental radiology. This advanced three-dimensional diagnostic method provides millimeter-precise insight into tooth anatomy, jawbone volume, maxillary sinuses, and temporomandibular joints.

When is a 3D CBCT scan necessary?

CBCT diagnostics are used in all clinical situations where conventional 2D methods are insufficient for an accurate diagnosis and safe treatment planning.

Areas of application:

  • Implantology: Precise measurement of bone density, height, and width when planning dental implant placement, as well as postoperative evaluation of placed implants.
  • Oral and maxillofacial surgery: Detailed localization of impacted and supernumerary teeth, periapical lesions, and jaw cysts in relation to critical anatomical structures.
  • Endodontics: Detection of hidden root canals, periapical lesions, and precise analysis of tooth position.
  • Periodontics: Assessment of the jawbone and tooth-supporting structures, planning periodontal surgical procedures.
  • Orthodontics: Diagnosis of impacted and supernumerary teeth, evaluation of morphological tooth characteristics, root shape and position, and assessment of jawbone status during treatment planning.
  • Sinus and TMJ diagnostics: Three-dimensional visualization of pathologies in sinus cavities and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction.

Superior technology and minimal radiation

Our diagnostic center utilizes the state-of-the-art KAVO OP 3D PRO device for 3D imaging. The choice between four field-of-view sizes (5x5, 6x8, 8x8, and 8x15 cm) allows imaging strictly confined to the region of interest, achieving superior image quality with the lowest achievable radiation dose.

All scans are delivered in standard DICOM format, immediately ready for software analysis and 3D treatment planning at your dentist's office. Scans are performed without an appointment, and you receive your scan on DVD media, via email, or through our application in under 10 minutes.
